Strawberry Scamper

Strawberry Scamper by Sandra Galda
5"x5" oil on gesso board
The sun made its appearance this past weekend and we worked in the garden. We have a healthy little patch of strawberry plants and look foward to its produce. I used grocerystore strawberries for today's painting. If interested in purchasing contact my email address sgalda@aol.com Thanks for looking, tell me what you think-leave a comment! This one looks like you painted it more loose that some of the others. I love it! And I promise ... you can't tell that the strawberries came from the grocery store ... they look homegrown.

Hi LSaeta! Yes, I sure did make this one much looser...actually it was done very fast so it is almost like an abstract! It was fun to do. Realism does take a bit longer..more photo realism takes me so much more time.

I don't think it's abstract...but rather straight to the point. These stokes are all you need. I love this painting.

Sandra, I really like your ability to crop your subjects just in the right way, something I can really struggle with. I'd love to see these strawberries in a big format, nice work!

Hi Michael! Good to hear from you, thanks for the encouragement! I have visited and admired your art for years now!

Hi Rob! I am thinking of larger formats and more formal works, I have a large canvas up now that I work on in between daily painting:)

Sandra, these are magnificent. I want one! You made supermarket berries look lucious. Nice glow, and as usual, gorgeous brushwork!
