Workshop exercise: Green Apple

Green Apple by Sandra Galda
Oil on gessoboard 6"x6"
I have learned so much in the Carol Marine workshop, and met many wonderful and talented artists there! We explored many concepts that artists must grapple with in order to produce attractive significant small paintings. If anyone would like to see the artblog of Carol Marine, click here ! I have been out of town since last Thursday through late Sunday night and only posted drawings and one painting. Since gettting back home I have been taking a three day workshop. Therefore, if you are visiting my blog for the first time, look thru my previous posts to see my work completed before the above mentioned happy interruptions.

Sandra, I remember seeing this great apple in the workshop but didn't realize it was yours, nice job. I can manage painting pears but for some reason my apples are blah. I'll have to pick up some apples at the market today and try again!

Thanks Rob! Carol thought the orange pepper was better and therfore I didnt put this up at critic time. I think she prefered the saturated color of the pepper, the apple here was too white. In either case, I do think it is one of my better apples. It was the doninant value work that last painting day. thanks !Yes, you do those pears so well!
