I have always loved and been busy making art. Education: B.S. in Graphic Design from SUNY at Buffalo and a Master of Liberal Arts degree in 2008 (concentrated in Art History), from Harvard University. Six years post graduate study and training at Ingbretson Studios http://studio.ingbretson.com/ learning the Boston Style of contemporary realism.
I paint on a regular basis and am busy teaching art. You can find some of the results here on this artblog. Sandra, Love the composition on this one. How fun! The colors are fabulous! You just keep getting better and better.
Karen, you are so nice and encouraging, thanks so much for the kind words, I sure need them lots! I am so glad I met you. I happen to be very impressed with your mature and developed style in painting ---you must have been painting regularly for a long time, right?
Sandra, this looks great just the way it is, very complete. It's hard to imagine what else it needs. I love it!
Hi Nancy! thanks for your nice words, I guess if you could see it live you would see the pea pods do not look like the model yet, and the patches of solid color are still to "solid".....maybe I fuss too much though
Your brushwork is incredible!!! Oh, and the lighting....! I should never paint fruit again!
Sandra it looks great so far. The color combination and complex composition has a nice feel to it. You're inspiring me to mix it up a little more.
