Bridesmaid Bouquet

Bridesmaid Bouquet by Sandra Galda
6"x6" oil on Raymar

I am back from a very busy long weekend. One of our three children, a son, is now married! This painting records my daughter's bridesmaid bouquet, she enjoyed standing up for the wedding as a bridesmaid! I tried not to paint too much detail. The flowers included Hydrangea, a really fussy flower to paint because of all the smaller flowers within one flower. If interested in purchasing any of my available paintings on this blog, contact my email address sgalda@aol.com Thanks for looking, tell me what you think-leave a comment! Paintings by Sandra Galda are copyright.

Above is a picture of my son and his wife and my husband who performed the wedding at their request! My hubby is also an ordained minister---he was a full time missionary very early in our marriage. Although for years and years he has derived his income from a secular career, he occasionally performs various church duties. He likes being bi-vocational. What an amazing wedding. Our daughter was a bridesmaid and our other son was the best man. --And I just enjoyed :)

So beautiful and special! I love your paintings and the loose way you paint (I try and try!) and this is so cool to have a painting of the bridesmaids flowers! Congrats on the marriage of your son!

Thanks Denise :) It is hard to loosen up isnt it? I am going to try to paint a few more versions of her bouquet before they wilt. we will probably keep one of the paintings as a momento!

Wow! Congrats on the marriage of your son and on your beautiful painting! What a wonderful experience. I just have to see if I can survive sending our oldest off to college in a few weeks ...

Hi LSaeta,
thank, and yes, sending off to college must be hard! Ours lived at home while attending UMass locally. NOw when they leave it is even harder cause I am so used to them being around......it is never easy....
