Looooooove this. I love all the warm colors you used. It's kind of calming in a way.

Sandra, I too love the colors, very subdued with such a nice warmth to it. I feel like I could reach in and grab the baseball. Really well done.

Great use of color. Good brushstrokes in the background, good composition. I just finished reading "The Given Day"...Boston, 1919, Babe Ruth. Sort of fits your painting.

thanks everyone! this is a work in progress, I will post more as it becomes finished! I actually am painting two of these, one is a commission and one I will have available for sale. Kristie, I agree, the warm tones are calming! Thank Rob, Linda, and Jeremy thanks for the confidence boost! I hope I can "bring it home"!!! Pam, sounds like that book is very appro. for this image!
