In Process: Bear Story

In Process: Bear Story by Sandra Galda
16"x20" oil on masonite

I started this painting today with the idea of commemorating my German heritage. It is enjoyable to paint beautiful and sentimental objects. The German bear, possibly a Steiff bear, is pretty old as is the teacup. They belonged to my grandmother, then my mother, and now they are entrusted to me. I have lots more work to do on this one, check back! If interested in purchasing contact my email address or use PayPal button if included in this post. Thanks for looking, tell me what you think-leave a comment! Paintings by Sandra Galda are copyright.

Hi Sandra,
Love the idea of painting sentimental objects! It's all wonderful, but I especially like the beer stein in the background.
I think it's the way that you've handled the pattern. That one little part alone would make a beautiful painting, all by itself!

I really like the tight composition. The sentiment is handled in an elevated manner and makes this a powerful ainting. . . .you are so prolific! Your color is spectacular as always.
