I have always loved and been busy making art. Education: B.S. in Graphic Design from SUNY at Buffalo and a Master of Liberal Arts degree in 2008 (concentrated in Art History), from Harvard University. Six years post graduate study and training at Ingbretson Studios http://studio.ingbretson.com/ learning the Boston Style of contemporary realism.

Sandra, your roses have such a nice depth to them.
Hi Rob! thanks so much! After posting I still noticed a nagging irregularity to the vase so I may work on this a little more tomorrow. It is hard to fight the tendancy to fuss and get tooooooo realistic...and I am on the edge on this one. I like to strive for looser brushstrokes. I think I was rusty from not painting much this weekend...?
I like this painting but I cerainly can understand how difficult it is not to go back and "fix it"! But fortunately, that is your choice!
It certainly looks great as is.
oh thanks LSaeta, it is really the bottom of the vase ... I think needs to be taken up a smidge on the right...
Sandra, you did an especially nice job on the front left rose. It has a great sense of depth - I can feel those petals unfurling.
