Brown Paper Drawing Prepartion for Oil Painting

Brown Paper Exercise for Oil Painting by Sandra Galda
18"x22" brown paper, charcoal, white chalk

This is a brown paper preparation drawing for a still life.  I have a long way to go yet in achieving excellence in any of the steps I am learning at the studio, but I am hoping this drawing will be approved for execution with oils on oil primed linen soon.   It is drawn using simple brown mailing paper from a roll,  large stick vine charcoal, and white chalk. It is a work I am doing at Ingbretson Studios as part of my ongoing training in the Boston School Style of painting.      http://studio.ingbretson.com/

If interested in purchasing any of my available art on this blog, contact my email address sgalda@aol.com or use the PayPal button if included in the post. Small works are signed in full on the back of the painting. All works priced and sold without framing unless by special arrangement with buyer. Sandra, love this one... refreshing to see another medium for a change, and to DO one is fun, too ! Brown paper is interesting for texture and surface !
