Worked on this today to bring it to near completion. I posted this when I first started it a few weeks ago. Never got back to finish it till now. The items are commemorate my 50% German heritage. Next I will have to paint Italian items! The bear and the tea set were my Grandmother's. Will try to get a better photo. I love what you have done with this painting. It has a real shimmer to it. I especially like the stein.
This really came out nicely. I too think the stein is super...the work on the lid and how you handled the ceramic design, just great!
Thanks Linda and Rob, The background right hand side needs a bit brighter gradation ...more life to it...so when drier I may go in and work a bit. but it is off the easel now. The bear and the tea cup (part of a set) were my grandmother's from Germany, it is quite old.
Really nice painting Sandra! All the German items tell a story. I especially like the stein, I have one just like it but I never thought of painting it!
HI Dana! definitely you should try a stein painting! with ocktoberfest month it should be a challenge in one of the challenge blogs! :) I am not a beer drinker but steins are sooo colorful!!! I want to paint one just by itself too!
