11"x14" approx. oil on masonite
This is pretty much done now. I see areas that I could still work on further, now that I have taken a picture and posted. I may continue with this later. There is a time at the end of a large painting where I find myself putting in highlights, dark notes, and adjusting details. It is sort of like putting on earrings. These details really finish an outfit...I mean a painting! So fun. If interested in purchasing contact my email address sgalda@aol.com Thanks for looking, tell me what you think-leave a comment! This is such a nice painting and so is the one below it. Both of these paintings have a wonderful feeling to them. Your compositons are very tight and nicely done. I love the color in both paintings.
I love your colors combinations and your reflections, really nice work. It's quite different working on larger pieces, isn't it?
It's great, Sandra. I love your analogy of putting on earring--so true. Just tweeking the outfit to pull everything together. Really nice painting. I like the way the composition reads from subject to subject.
Very expressive. I especially love how the zucchinis look!
thanks all! It is a challenge for me, or anyone probably,to attempt to get all the dimensions of a large painting working. I used to occasionally paint large theater sets with airbrush, -but their designs were pretty prescribed by the scripts to make a scene work well for the story. A painting must stand on its own and work for a long time. It is just different.
