Today I spent lots of time finishing a commission and did this small daily painting last. It seemed to flow faster off my brush after having tackled a large work first! Lovely painting. The orange is so intense.
Shirley, thanks so much, but I hope you return when I take a daylight photo, the color will no longer seem orange with proper lighting on it. My best area for taking pictures is on my covered porch in daylight. my first photo of this was at night indoors, and I am always amazed at the better quality of outdoor light...
Sandra, this is a great piece...the composition, the bold highlight in the cut section, and the soft highlights.
I don't know why, but when my eyes lit upon this painting I thought "brave". And wonderful. It's enough, and not too much. Makes me love apples!
Very nice design and execution. Almost makes me want an apple if it weren't for the Baby Ruth sitting next to it.
Possibly my favorite one of yours so far.
