Wednesday's Teacup

Wednesday's Teacup by Sandra Galda
4"x4" oil on gesso board

Just a quick cup of tea here! Raining and very gloomy outside today where I usually take photos of my artwork for posting. May retake the picture when the sun comes out again. Its the kind of weather where a steamin hot cup of tea hits the spot! If interested in purchasing contact my email address sgalda@aol.com Thanks for looking, tell me what you think-leave a comment! Great teacup Sandra, but I especially have been really enjoying your flowers. Your orange daisy with the blue vase is fantastic!

Hi Rob! thanks! You are so encouraging! I love your seeing your work too! I was chicken today and did not venture into the rain to fetch a flower today---but the peonies are just ready to pop and I hope to try them soon. I started a very large canvas today, a still life, and am trying to train myself to limit my time on the daily works so I have some time to paint larger canvases too.......

I love this! You are really tempting me to pull out all of my antique teacups and start painting. But I doubt my efforts will come close to this. Stunning painting!

Wonderful little cup! I love the bright blue shadow and the way you emphasized the green in the gold rim. The strokes above the cup are suggestive of steam . Love it! Makes me want to drag out all my Mom's antique tea cups and give it a go.

Sandra, I love your teacup! It looks very soft and loose , which is beautiful, almost like a watercolor!

Love the light and movement that your brush strokes create/suggest!

Sandra - beautiful teacup - and I need some tea now! Gloomy, but you blog is FULL of gorgeous, colorful paintings. I know they'll go like hotcakes at Newburyport. Your flowers are so fresh and loose - I look forward to seeing more of these as the Summer progresses!

You've been so busy and I can't keep up! Just wanted to tell you how much I love the blues and golds in this painting. Very elegant!
